REF TEK Command / Control - Model RTCC

REF TEK Command/Control (RTCC) is an interface for remote station(s) command/control using standard WEB browsers. RTCC is used to edit and program the acquisition of the 130 (either single or multiple units) via the LAN/WAN connection.

RTCC can connect to remote stations either directly using TCP/IP communication over port 5000 or through RTPD using RTPD connection over the REF TEK port 2543.

Once connection is established through RTPD, the RTCC application can discover all remote stations in the network. After stations are discovered, the end-user can communicate with the remote 130 Recorder by clicking the Status/Control button of the chosen station unit ID. The Status screen information includes acquisition status, number of recorded events, RAM and disk usage, GPS status, main and backup battery voltage, time, temperature, network parameters, etc.

In addition to the State-of-Health information and recording parameters, the RTCC Status screen displays sensor information and hardware installed inside the 130 Recorder including: internal boards, their serial numbers, firmware code, etc. RTP status provides the information to the end-user regarding the connection status from the remote station to the RTPD server via Ethernet or Serial PPP connection.

The Sensor Test available at the bottom of the Status screen allows the end-user to calculate a remote Offset and perform Sensor Control functions (Calibration Signal, Mass Re-Center, Lock and Unlock Sensor). The ANSS Test provides a calibration test. Data Monitor allows viewing of a selected channel of data.

Another important feature of RTCC is remote setting or changing recording parameters based on the seismic situation at the remote site. A single Parameter setting screen allow the end-user to set or change recording parameters in a simple and friendly screen without toggling or switching to other various screens.

If the end-user has the Sensor Control board (RT527) installed in the 130 Recorder, then he can perform different calibration functions to the broadband seismometer, including step function, sign wave, random noise input and sweep function with the frequencies defined by the end-user. Sensor calibration functions and sensor mass re-centering can be performed interactively from the central acquisition center or upon a time schedule.

With the Sensor Control board the end-user can setup recording parameters for up to 6 (130S-01 models) auxiliary channels from different geophysical sensors.
