REF TEK 130:

REF TEK 130: Weak Motion today, Groundwork for Tomorrow is a 3-day course conducted twice a year at REF TEK that makes up REF TEK University.  This course is designed to enable REF TEK 130-01 equipment users to become more familiar with the 130-01 seismic recorder and its supporting hardware, the REF TEK 151 Broad Band Seismometers and supporting software used to command and control the recorder as well as tools.

Course instruction includes both lecture and hands on instruction of both the 130-01 and 151 Broad Band Sensors with a strong emphasis placed on practical examples of connectivity, set-up and data analysis.  Course participants should have a basic knowledge of the following operating systems:  Windows XP, Linux, and Solaris.  A conceptual knowledge of TCP/IP network will also be helpful.  Users are Encouraged to bring a laptop, WinXP or Linux, to allow full software installation.

The course dates for 2008 are April 8^th 9^th & 10^th and November 4^th, 5^th & 6^th
